Head Boy Malek Abdo is celebrating an excellent set of results this morning, achieving 12.5 GCSES, including two Grade A*s in BTEC Business, one Grade A in Arabic and a further eight Grade Bs and 1.5 Grade Cs.
Head Boy Malek Abdo is celebrating an excellent set of results this morning, achieving 12.5 GCSES, including two Grade A*s in BTEC Business, one Grade A in Arabic and a further eight Grade Bs and 1.5 Grade Cs.
A jubilant Malek said:
"I've done really well, especially with three Grade Bs in Science. I'm thankful for all the Saturday revision sessions from Miss Harley! The support from all my teachers has given me the drive to achieve more than I thought I could."
"I'll be celebrating my results at my sister's wedding tonight!"
As well as studying A Levels in Maths, Computing and Physics, Malek has plenty of other plans to ensure his future success. With hopes to study Computer Science at University eventually, Malek is using the experience and skills developed during the four years he spent training and playing for Liverpool FC Academy first.
He adds:
"While I study for my A Levels I will be coaching an Under 9s Eccles football team I started myself and I'll also be developing my own one-to-one football mentoring business; I'm currently working with three aspiring footballers. I have also been awarded a football scholarship abroad, which I hope to take up when I finish my A Levels and before University - the experience will be invaluable!"
As Head Boy Malek is setting a shining example of success and aspiration for academy students.
"I found being Head Boy a rewarding and worthwhile experience, I have really enjoyed representing the academy and the younger pupils looking up to me."
