Rachael Swaby, Debate Mate co-ordinator for Salford City Academy said:

“All our students used the skills and techniques they have been learning over the course of the Debate Mate training and performed extremely well. I’m so proud of the way they represented the school.”

Extra praise goes to Zoe, Jenny, Ilsa and Precious as their teamwork and debating skills won them both of the debates they entered.

Rachael added:

“This team has truly come on in leaps and bounds; they received excellent feedback and showed such great confidence. Well done!”

The Academy is now waiting to find out if they have reached the grand final in London.
