U14 Girls Badminton

Match report by Amy Gorman, Year 10

On the 1st November 2016, St Ambrose Barlow hosted the School Games U14 Girls Badminton competition.

Playing a mix of single and double matches, the academy’s A and B teams performed well.

Team A came third and Team B came fourth.  Team A missed out on going through to the County Finals by just one loss.

Amy Gorman was ‘player of the match’ with the best score of the night, beating an Oasis Media City player 15:0, as well as winning 5 out of her 6 games!

Becky Doyle also deserves praise as she is new to badminton and with little competition experience, played really well.

Congratulations to St Ambrose Barlow who won the competition.
