Uncovering University Life

The Salford City Academy Sixth Form took their Year 12 'A' Level and Level 3 BTEC students to the University of Central Lancashire on Wednesday 26th March.

The students spent the day learning more about university life.

As well as attending a session on how to develop their study skills for higher education, the students also got to grips with university finance.

Academy students then enjoyed a tour of the campus, including the lecture theatre, sports centre and student union.

To finish the day, Student Ambassadors talked about their experience of moving from college to university, and the challenges they’ve faced as well as their achievements.

Amy Barlow, Key Stage 5 Manager, said:

“It was a great day for our students to learn about preparing for university, to find out about the realities of university life and to hear advice and guidance direct from the undergraduates.”
