Year 9 Consider their Options

The Year 9 options process has begun!
In mentor time this week we asked students to think about their career aspirations and we were delighted to see the results.
An assembly today informed all our Year 9 students about the upcoming events, which will include:
Monday 2nd – Friday 6th March: Options assemblies and meetings with Connexions
Thursday 5th March: Options Taster Day (periods 1, 2, 4 and 5)
Thursday 5th March: Options Fair (period 3)
Thursday 5th March: Parents Evening and Options Evening
Monday 9th March – Friday 20th March: One-to-one meetings with SLT, Head of Year or Inclusion Manager
Friday 27th March: Deadline for options choices to be handed to Head of School.
The Year 9 Options Taster Day and Options Fair have been added to the process in response to feedback from the Student Council.
Students requested more information about the courses available, so the Academy has organised these events to give students an opportunity to experience the courses, as well as talk to the teachers and current Year 10 students taking those subjects.
