‘Engage, Inform and Transform lives'
As one of only a few schools to have achieved ‘Applied Learning' status, we have been given the responsibility for driving forward the government's policy of transforming 14-19 education in Salford. At both Key Stage 4 and 5, we offer a range of courses which aim to equip students with the skills and personal qualities they will need to thrive in their chosen careers. Our Applied Learning courses include construction, hair & beauty and childcare and through a link programme with Salford City College and GM Power, students can access a wider range of courses.
Every student takes part in work experience and work related-learning. Through our partnerships with local employers such as the NHS, the police and private businesses, our students gain valuable experience which will serve them well as they apply for jobs.
Our excellent advice and guidance provision and wealth of careers resources enables students to make informed decisions about what to do when they leave the Academy.
UP AND COMING ACTIVITIES All of the activities that we have each term are linked with a curriculum area, but we also try to make sure that the students will enjoy taking part in the projects and they learn whilst having a good time.
