Christmas Carol Concert

Annual performance brings together Salford schools

On Tuesday 8th December, Salford City Academy and PopUK brought together local primary schools for our annual Salford Schools Christmas carol concert.

Over 400 Year 6 children came together from Lewis Street, Beech Street, Barton Moss, Godfrey Ermen, St Andrew’s and Christ Church primary schools.  A choir from Salford City Academy also joined in the festivities.

Pop UK visited each school in the run-up to the concert to teach all pupils the songs and moves, which made for a wonderful and entertaining performance on the day!

Rachel Lyons, Primary Transition Co-ordinator, said:

“Thank you to all the schools involved, to St Andrew’s church and to PopUK for all their work in making today a success.  It was fantastic to see so many parents support us and join in the Christmas medley at the end!”

St Andrew’s church in Eccles hosted the event and kindly provided refreshments for all our singers, dancers and parents after the service.
