Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

Beech Street Primary School have won second place and a £100 prize in a festive community competition.

Love Eccles organised the ‘Do you want to build a snowman?’ competition and invited local youth clubs, nurseries and primary schools to enter.

In December pupils attending Beech Street Primary School art club co-ordinated by Salford City Academy Learning Mentor, Wendy Hutton, worked together to create a fantastic snowman.

Beech Street’s snowman was displayed alongside other competition entries at ‘Top 2 Toe’ in Eccles shopping Centre.  Snowmen appeared at a variety of locations including Eccles Community Art Gallery, Specsavers, Morrisons and Santander.

The local community were invited to pop down and vote for the best snowman via a Christmas post box in the library area at Eccles Gateway.
