Student celebrates outstanding GCSE results
Ellis Birch is celebrating today after achieving 4 A*s (Maths, chemistry, biology and physics), 6 As (English language, English literature, citizenship, catering, history, and PE) and a B (Further maths).
Ellis said:
“I’m really happy with my results. I was confident that I would get the results I wanted but everything else has been a bonus. It’s been a good day!”
Ellis is interested in the practical application of science and how it affects industries, for example Medicine. His Year 10 work experience in the NHS focused on risk assessments for chemicals used throughout the hospital.
He added:
“My science teachers have given up a lot of their time to help me revise – I was so surprised to get an A* in Biology. In the future, I’d like to carry on and go to university to study Science.”
