Inspiring Young Mathematicians

A group of Year 10 students visited Salford University on 16th March to be inspired by Maths!

Looking at Maths in technology, text messages and Photoshop, for example, students began by seeing interesting ways in which Maths is used in the real world.

They also experienced a taster session in A Level Maths and also Maths in some surprising party tricks and puzzles.

Finally, our students enjoyed a university tour.

Richa Singh, Maths teacher said:

“The day encouraged our students’ problem-solving skills but also motivated them to see the wide variety of opportunities in further education, pathways and careers using Maths.”
