Kaitlyn Scores in Literacy Competition

Congratulations to Year 7 student, Kaitlyn Jackson, who has won a competition to win football tickets.

Miss Milner, Teaching Assistant, challenged her girls’ football team to produce a piece of persuasive writing as to why they should win a pair of tickets to watch Manchester City Ladies vs. Aston Villa Ladies on 21st February.

Mrs Helen Wilson, Head of English, judged the entries and awarded Kaitlyn the prize due to the composition of the letter and paragraphs as well as the persuasive impact!

Kaitlyn was thrilled to win the tickets and can’t wait to visit the new academy ground at Manchester City to see the match.

In her letter, Kaitlyn had written:

“If I was to win the tickets, when school finishes I would run home and scream at the top of my voice and I probably wouldn’t be able to sleep because of all the exciting and amazing things running through my mind!"
