Leading Role for Year 11!

Drama students takeover Year 7 English lessons

Years 7 and 11 joined forces for a collaborative English and drama lesson.

Our Year 11 drama students visited Year 7 English lessons following a creative writing topic.

Year 11 acted as the ‘teachers’ under the supervision of Mrs Hawley and Miss Wright and helped the younger students to devise plays in groups, based on their creative writing work.

All the students came together at the end of the lesson to act out their performances.

Mr Barker, Head of English, said:

“The Year 11s led the lessons really well and were fantastic role models.  The lessons helped our younger Year 7 students to gain confidence. This was a really engaging exercise for everyone.”
