We are delighted to announce our newly appointed Prefects.
Our students sit at the heart of all we do and so it was with great pride that Mrs House, Assistant Vice Principal – Behaviour, Care & Safety, Mrs Burgess, Head of Year 10 and Miss Mannion, KS4 Inclusion Manager interviewed and appointed our Head Girl and Boy and their Deputies along with Senior Prefects for 2015/16.
All students had to undergo a rigorous appointments process and it is all credit to themselves for outstanding performance throughout this process.
Mrs Burgess, Head of Year 10, said:
“They were all fantastic in interview and please congratulate them as they all deserve it. I am very happy and proud of them all!”
The newly elected senior student members of the school are:
Head Girl - Charlie Mechan Head Boy - Mo Abu-Dakka
Dep Head Girl - Julia Chrzanowska Dep Head Boy - Kane Whitehouse
Senior Prefects (Transition / Mentoring) - Yvan Gisingizo and Khalil Hadjam
Senior Prefects (Community) - Keeley Maggs and Julia Russell
Principal Helen Mackenzie OBE said:
“I met these students following their appointment and felt incredibly proud as indeed all staff did.”
As part of their first duties they welcomed Sir Michael Graydon, Chair of the Group Board of United Learning, Mr Richard Greenhalgh, who will be succeeding Sir Michael and Mrs Janet Woods, Director of Academies North into the Academy on 28th April.
