Pupil Progress

Accelerated Reader Success

To track pupil progression in the Accelerated Reader (AR) programme we test Years 7, 8 and 9 students quarterly. The diagnostic test includes 34 questions to check pupils understand comprehension and are reading at the appropriate level to understand and, importantly, enjoy their books.

We are delighted to report that from September to December 2015, the following pupils have made impressive personal progress in AR and have improved their reading ages by the following:

Year 8: Maddison Jones - 47 months

Year 7: Harvey McGinty - 41 months

Year 8: Jonathan Verity-Stowell - 39 months

Year 7: Danielle McGrath - 37 months

Year 9: Marium Khan - 30 months

Year 7: Leah Warburton - 29 months

Year 9: Stephen Hogan - 27 months

Year 7: Holly Randles - 27 months
