Science Council

The Academy’s Science Council has been busy canvassing student opinion!

The council has been asking for students' opinions on science lessons and how teachers can improve learning, enthusiasm and engagement.

Members are Dillan Barrett, Sydney Hulme, Alethea Biesty, Megan Rutter and Jason Su.

Feedback has indicated:

· Overall, students feel behaviour is good in lessons and many enjoy science;

· Students enjoy practical science lessons;

· Year 10 and 11 would like more exam practice.

The science department has begun to action the survey feedback, with more exam practice and revision sessions being offered, as well as introducing the Year 7 Science Club.

The council will now look at how teachers can help improve attainment and student grades, as well as how the corridor and classrooms can be developed.
