Salford CIty Academy former student returns for teaching placement

We’re thrilled to welcome back former Salford City Academy student Rebecca Evans for a university placement.

Rebecca attended Salford City Academy from 2006 until 2013, achieving quadruple distinction star success in BTEC Business and BTEC Sports Extended Diploma after staying on in the Sixth Form.

Thanks to her success, Rebecca headed to Edge Hill University to study Physical Education and School Sport and is close to finishing her third and final year.

As part of a third year module, Rebecca is required to undertake 80 hours of work placement to pass.  As well as spending in time in primaries and teaching dance to children, Rebecca also pursued a placement at her old school.

Rebecca said:

“It’s been weird coming back, walking the halls and helping out teachers that used to teach me! It’s been great though as I’ve been in trampolining, theory and rounders coursework lessons.”

Rebecca’s next step is a PGCE teacher training course at Edge Hill in September and we wish her the best of luck!
