Urban Talent Academy selects stars from Salford City Academy

Students auditioned for the Audacious Youth Church Urban Talent Academy competition last night!

Urban Talent Academy judges enjoyed acts including solo and group singers as well as dancers in our dance studio.

As well as a round of applause from the audience, each act received feedback on their talents and suggestions on how to enhance their performance.

One winner and one runner-up were named and put forward for Salford City Academy to participate in the boot camp on 4th March.  The live final takes place on 18th March for all Greater Manchester schools.

We were pleased to see the following go through to represent themselves and the school.  Due to impressing the judges, an additional student was picked to go through:

  • Lauren Bithell, Year 10 – singer
  • Favour Oboh Momoh, Year 7 – dancer
  • Brandon Davison, Year 9 – singer

The Urban Talent Academy is offering the overall winner the fantastic opportunity to create an artist portfolio, for example, recording a song if they are a singer or filming a music video if they are a dancer.

A massive well done to everyone that has taken part in the Urban Talent Academy enrichment and auditions.
