Beech Street Winter Fayre

Students return to former primary school to lend a hand!

On Thursday 8th December, we were pleased to join Beech Street primary school for their Winter Fayre.Former Beech Street pupils, now in Year 7 and 10 at the academy, volunteered to go along and help set-up and run stalls.

Thanks to:

Year 7 students– Leah Hutchinson, Aimee Hodgson, Nauvin Niroshan, Ishmael Rasheed, Christopher Eaves and Alicia Maggs

Year 10 students – Jenny McPhee, Georgia Bravender and Abbey Higson

All our students got hands on in the big task of setting up the Fayre alongside Mrs Nolan, Extended Schools Co-ordinator, and Mrs Jones, Transition Mentor.

Our Year 10 girls manned the ‘toy shop’, Year 7 girls sold jewellery and our Year 7 boys were in charge of selling magical reindeer food!

Dawn Heath, Beech Street Teaching Assistant, said:

“Thanks for all your help with our Winter Fayre. We couldn't have done it as smoothly without you all; the students were a great help.  It was a great success.”
