Prison Awareness Day

Learning about making the 'right choices'

A group of Year 7-10 students joined Greater Manchester Police for a Prison Awareness Day on 1st December.

Alongside students from around the North West, the youngsters learnt about making the right choices and the consequences of ‘bad’ choices.

They heard from prisoners facing the consequences of crime, as well as their experiences of being arrested, charges and serving time in prison.

Mr Evans, Year Leader, said:

“The day was a great way to illustrate the serious messages about gang, drug and knife crime in the community and the impact on young people.  Our students were extremely positive about what they learnt.”
