Salford City Academy Marks GCSE Success

SALFORD CITY ACADEMY MARKS GCSE SUCCESS

~ 65% of students at the school achieve a grade 4 or above in English and maths ~

Salford City Academy is celebrating today after Year 11 students receive an excellent set of GCSE qualifications.

Rewarded for their commitment to their studies, 65% of students at the school achieved a grade 4 or above in English and Maths and 49% achieved a grade 5 or above in both subjects. Taking home, the highest grades, 15% of students achieved a grade 7 or above in English and Maths.

Commenting on students’ achievements, Melanie Haselden, Principal at Salford City Academy, said:  

 

“Across the academy, we are delighted with this year’s GCSE results and so proud of our Year 11 students. The past two years have presented many obstacles to our young people however they have continued to work hard and support one another in overcoming them. Thank you to our fantastic team of staff who do everything they can to set our students up well for the future and ensure they have what they need to take their next steps in their education. We are looking forward to building on this year’s success with our next cohort of Year 11 students.”
