Year 12 Work Experience

Placements at animal sanctuaries, fitness centres and more!

Year 12 students have been on Work Experience this week on placements at an animal sanctuary, art gallery and restaurant to name a few!

The academy Sixth Form has received some fantastic feedback from employers, for example, Luke Hoyle who was placed at Worsley Fit City has been offered a summer work placement as they are so pleased with his efforts.

Amy Barlow, Head of Careers, said:

“Work Experience is important as it builds useful skills that can't be taught in the classroom as well as allowing students to build contacts. Universities and prospective employers will always look favourably on the effort taken by those students who have undertaken work experience, which gives them an advantage over other applicants.”
