The Academy has two sponsors, both of whom make an invaluable contribution to the successes of Salford City Academy:

United Learning

Salford City Academy is sponsored by United Learning.  United Learning was established to create a family of academies that provide outstanding education.  It was formed in 2002 as a subsidiary of the United Church Schools Trust which has been running high-quality independent schools in the UK for over 125 years.  United Learning offers the stability of an organisation with a long term commitment to education in this country and the experience to run successful schools.

United Learning academies are inclusive and welcoming schools where students of all faiths, backgrounds and abilities are valued and respected.

As a member of the United learning family, Salford City Academy shares the objectives of developing every student into a balanced and articulate individual with the intellectual freedom to be creative, the confidence to initiate, the resilience to cope with adversity, the strength to lead, the compassion to serve others and the motivation to achieve a lifelong love of learning.

The Church of England Diocese of Manchester

We have long established links with the Church of England Diocese of Manchester which supports the work of the Academy and its Christian ethos.  The Diocese co-sponsors an Academy Chaplain who works alongside staff to celebrate the Christian values of hard work, opportunity and education.  Thanks to the generosity and support of the Diocese, the Academy's Faith Room now has an exquisite stained glass window which symbolises the partnership between the Academy and the Diocese.
