Year 10 Student Dalal Recognised Nationally for Excellence in Religious Studies
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the success of one of our students, Dalal Aldosha, who received national recognition at the United Learning Best in Everyone Awards, held at Oxford Town Hall on Friday 20th June.
Dalal, a Year 10 student, was awarded the Religious Studies Award for her outstanding commitment to the subject, both in and beyond the classroom. In addition to consistently achieving excellent assessment results, Dalal has inspired her peers to engage more deeply with Religious Studies and has taken the initiative to plan and lead sessions for the school’s Debate Club.
Following her win, Dalal said:
“It is an honour to receive such a prestigious award in one of my favourite subjects.”
Her teacher, Miss Zon, who nominated her for the award, shared:
“Dalal excels in RS and inspires others in the class. She excels in her academic work, inspires younger students, and has led thoughtful debates on big ethical issues. I am delighted for her and so proud!”
The Best in Everyone Awards, held annually since 2013, celebrate the achievements of students, staff, and teams across United Learning schools. After an in-school awards ceremony recognising exceptional academic and extracurricular accomplishments, each school nominates their top students for the national awards. Dalal was selected from a highly competitive field of nominees and invited to attend the prestigious ceremony in Oxford.
In addition to the live event, a virtual ceremony was also held, with videos shared on social media so that friends, family, and school communities could join in the celebration.
