Parent and Child Healthy Eating Cookery Classes

Salford City Academy has been delighted to welcome parents and children from our local primary schools for a new pilot scheme, Parent and Child Healthy Eating Cookery Classes.

The classes aim to teach new skills, raise knowledge and awareness about healthy eating and enable the adults to confidently make changes to the way they prepare food. They are also a fantastic opportunity to strengthen the parent/child bond by working on shared activities.

Parents and pupils from Barton Moss and Godfrey Ermen Primary Schools have both enjoyed a six week course of Parent and Child classes, with Christ Church and Lewis Street Primaries signed up for courses in the near future. A parent from Barton Moss Primary commented:

“The classes were excellent and it was lovely to spend time with my son.”
