Salford City Academy has partnered with SWI Schoolwear for our new uniform range for September 2021.

If you are unsure about what size your child may be for their blazer, skirt, trouser length or shirt. Please email enquiries@salfordcity-academy.org to book an appointment with Miss Stephens. The slots are every Tuesday and Thursday beterrn 3.15pm and 4.00pm. 

How can I buy Salford City Academy Uniform?

You can now purchase our uniform range from the comfort of your own home online via www.swischoolwear.co.uk, you must create an account and select Salford City Academy from the drop down list.

You can also telephone on 01928 752610, and choose Option 1.

What is the Salford City Academy uniform?

Compulsory:

  • Plain white shirt - buttoned to the top and tucked in
  • Academy tie (Students in Y8,9,10 and 11 from September 2021 will be provided with one from the academy)
  • New Salford City Academy blazer (phased in from September, compulsory from January 2022)
  • Navy blue knitted jumper with academy branding
  • Smart black trousers, or tartan pleated skirt 
  • Plain black socks
  • Plain black polishable shoes

(Please note shirts and the black trousers can be bought from elsewhere, they are not compulsory to buy from the supplier)

Optional:

  • Plain black tights
  • Coats may be worn outside of the school building

Hair, Make-Up and Jewellery

Acceptable:

  • Natural hair colour
  • Neat in appearance
  • Navy or black hair bobbles / clips
  • One pair of plain stud earrings (gold or silver)
  • Make-up should not be worn
  • A wrist watch

Religious Observances 

Students whose religion requires them to wear a head scarf or cap are permitted to do so and we ask this is plain black in colour. 

Unacceptable Uniform and Appearance

Anything not mentioned previously is considered unacceptable and includes, not exclusively:

Clothing / footwear:

  • Hoodies or non school jumpers - pupils should wear coats in cold weather
  • Shoes with any coloured piping or logos, boots or trainers
  • Patterned tights
  • Scarves, hats and gloves

Hair:

  • Any shaven head, pattern, unnatural colouring or evident hair extensions
  • Any shaven or partially shaven eyebrows 

Make-up:

  • Any visible make-up
  • Any nail varnish or acrylic nails

Jewellery:

  • Any piercing to nose, lip or belly button.
  • Multiple ear piercing.

PE Kit 

Compulsory

  • Navy blue shorts with academy logo
  • Sky blue performance training top with academy logo
  • Trainers – appropriate trainers that provide support for the foot/ankle (not pumps, converse or other fashion shoes)

Optional:

  • Navy blue training skort with academy logo
  • Navy blue and silver training leggings 
  • Navy blue training pants with academy logo
  • Navy blue training zip top with academy logo
