Local primary pupils have joined Salford City Academy for a taster in English, Drama and Modern Foreign Languages.
Designed to provide a taster of secondary school, primary children from local schools Barton Moss, Lewis Street and Christ Church, all visited the academy during January.
Academy teachers delivered lessons including:
English – writing descriptive text about chocolates and sweets and tasting a selection for inspiration! Pupils learning about sensory language and were encouraged to use adjectives.
Spanish – learning Spanish vocabulary for food and tasting the country’s delicacies.
Drama – improvisation work and devising performances based on issues faced by young people.
