Year 10 Drama students recently visited Pendleton College to watch students perform ‘West Side Story’.
By watching the A Level Performing Art students in action, our own students gathered tips and ideas in order to reflect and improve their current work.
At the moment, our Year 10 Drama students are busy devising their own performances in groups.
By watching the college play, they have gained an insight into how they can enhance, for example, their characterisation, stage setting, lighting and choreography.
Abby said:
“It was such an emotional and strong performance, each actor stayed perfectly in character and the choreography was fantastic and well-timed.”
Grace added:
“It was a really worthwhile trip. It changed our view on stage setting and movement, and how we can improve the use of the space we have.”
