Achievement in Maths

In 2014, Maths saw a 22% increase in the number of students making expected progress (from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4).

This academic year, the Academy is aiming for a further 11% increase in this figure.

Year 11 received their ‘mock results’ recently and the session gave students, working alongside staff, a chance to see the results of their efforts in each subject, helping encourage them to do even better.

Andy Wexler, Head of Maths

“The day really gave the students a greater understanding of their strengths and weaknesses in Maths.  We can now focus together on the topics needing extra revision.”

As well as revision at home, students are encouraged to engage in revision in lessons and booster sessions.
