Challenge 4 Change

Students visit urban learning activity centre

At the end of the autumn term, the Alternative Provision team visited ‘Challenge 4 Change’.

‘Challenge 4 Change’ is a unique, indoor urban learning facility in Trafford Park.  There are a number of ground level challenges, including an assault course and tire pit.  The arena also has a high ropes course, including a crate stack, leap of faith, and climbing wall.

The reward trip aimed to boost social, communication and team building skills.

Alternative Provision staff and students worked together on a series of physical tasks at the centre.

Jon Ritchie, Alternative Provision Manager, said:

“Behaviour was amazing on the day and everyone really pulled together to tackle the challenges we were given.  The students really enjoyed it and it has had a positive impact on them as a team moving forward.”

Student Bradley commented:

“We all had to work together and encourage each other by shouting ‘be brave’! The last challenge – the leap of faith – was the scariest but it was also the best bit of the day.”
