Health and Safety Warning

Barton City Airport

Our nearby City Airport (Barton Aerodrome) have reported that over the past week a number of unidentified youngsters, sometimes dressed in school uniform, have been trespassing on the airfield.

This action not only presents a danger to themselves but is a major hazard to aircraft and helicopters using the airfield.

The youngsters have been walking out towards the runways meaning the airport have to restrict or suspend flights until they are vacated.

These incidents have been happening each evening and also at weekends. They have been reported to the Police.

We would like to highlight these incidents to both students and parents, and raise awareness of the dangers of trespassing onto the City Airport grounds.
