Year 10 support Accelerated Reader programme

A group of Year 10 students are supporting the academy’s Accelerated Reader programme.

They are volunteering during hub time to mentor Year 7, 8 and 9 students.

Selected due to their reading ability by their Head of Year, the Year 10s are helping out in the library on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays by listening to the younger students read.

Caitlin Butcher, Year 10, said:

“I decided to volunteer because it’s a good thing to help other students.”

The students involved are:

Keaton Withington, Charlie Rushworth, Rebecca Lingard, Caitlin Butcher, Alexander Clarke, Anne-Marie Powrie and Amber Burth.
