Popstar Shares Anti-Bullying Message At SCA

Our Year 9s and 10s were visited by singing sensation Nathan Gurd for an impromptu show. Year 9 student Dorota Malinowska has written the following report.

On the 23rd of January, teen singer Nathan Gurd visited Salford City Academy. The main theme of this talented singer’s visit was to promote a a message of Anti-Bullying. Before Nathan was confident with singing, he was physically bullied. However, singing was his passion so he didn’t give up and eventually overcame the troubles he had to become a success. This is inspiring as one of Nathan’s messages to the world is “No matter what, keep going!!”

Short Show Review:

The show’s atmosphere was great. Nathan was making sure to interact with the audience and I think everyone had a great time. For the best participation with the singing, there was a giveaway of merchandise (a tshirt).  At the end, Nathan autographed all of the flyers for everyone who wanted. Overall, I think it’s great way of raising awareness about bullying as it is a fun way to learn but still shares a serious message about the impact that bullying can have on someone.

After the show I managed to ask some questions to Nathan.

Q&A:

Q: Where in the world would you like to perform the most?

A: I would like to perform in Madison Square Garden, because the stadium is one of the most iconic places to perform.

Q: What’s your end goal?

A: My main goal is to sell out arenas. Also, I’d like to have a number 1 single and album.

Q: Do you have any other upcoming events?

A: Yes, I have a few shows in Birmingham, Glasgow, Dublin, London, Milton Keynes, Cardiff, Leeds and Brighton.

Thank you very much to Nathan for visiting us at SCA, and we wish him luck in his career as a popstar - he certainly has the talent to be a huge success!
