Celebrating end of term
We finished for Christmas on a high with a Salford City Academy’s Got Talent concert!
Host Mr Penney announced students and staff as they performed Christmas songs and dances to celebrate the end of term.
Top class student performances included:
Year 8 Dance Group What Do You Mean – J.Bieber
Alethea Biesty – Year 10 The Snowman
Abby Higson and Reem Barahman – Year 8 All I want for Christmas – Mariah Carey
Karina Lockitt, Lucie Welby and Gabby Davies – Year 8 Mistletoe – J.Bieber
Charlie Mechan and Abi Whitmore – Year 11 Santa Tell Me – Arianna Grande
Eloise Hughes – Year 7 Silent Night –dance
Judges Miss Sanderson, Year 10 student Julia Russell and our very own Mr ‘Simon Cowell’ Wexler critiqued our staff performances which included:
The kitchen staff I wish it could be Christmas every day – Wizzard
Mr Devonport and Miss Wright as Kiki Dee and Elton John Don’t go breaking my heart
Mrs Temple-heald I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus – The Ronettes
Mr Fair, Mr Jones, Mr Davies and Mr Ritchie as The Beatles With a little help from my friends
The audience voted for a staff winner with Mrs Temple-heald taking the honour!
