Sport in the Middle Ages

Year 7 learn about Medieval Sports in history lessons

Year 7 have been learning about life in Medieval England with Mrs Monks.

As part of this, the class have been studying sports that our ancestors played to keep them occupied!

7X3 have worked very hard and spent a lesson playing ‘Stool Ball’ and ‘Prisoners' Base’ on the academy’s sports field.

Mrs Monks said:

“The students found it really interesting trying to play games where very little equipment was used! They all behaved really well with the outside learning and had a lots and lots of fun!”
