Star of the Show

Dominic Smith, Year 9, stars in The Lowry's Boogie Nights

Dominic Smith in Year 9 has recently finished a stint in The Lowry theatre's 70s show, Boogie Nights, which ran from Wednesday 3rd June till Saturday 6th June.

After auditioning for the Salford Musical Theatre group, Dominic starred as a dancer in the show with the added bonus of a solo performance!

Dominic said:

“It was really good to be in this show, especially because it was at The Lowry.”

Miss Milner, Salford City Academy Teaching Assistant and Salford Musical Theatre group member also starred in the show and said:

“I was very proud of Dominic particularly because it’s the first time he’s danced in an adult society and he fitted in really well.”

Dominic has been a member of the Urmston Musical Theatre group since he was 9 and has starred in several shows including his first as a duckling in ‘Honk’ and more recently as Horton in ‘Seussical The Musical.’
