Students enjoyed a day of solving puzzles on a Maths Challenge Day.
On Monday 27th April, The Happy Puzzle Company joined Salford City Academy to test Year 7, 8 and 9’s Maths skills.
Each group took part in a session of Maths puzzles to develop their thinking skills, solve logic problems and work as teams.
The first challenge involved balancing penguins on an iceberg and this was to warm up our students’ strategy planning, communication and problem-solving abilities.
Mr Atcha, Maths Teacher said:
“All of these puzzles build on our students’ Maths skills and also tests their resilience to complete each and every one before being able to move on to the next!”
