Year 8 visit Salford University

Greater Manchester Higher university event

A group of Year 8 Highly Able students visited Salford University’s Media City campus for a Greater Manchester Higher event, aimed to inspire students to think about university.

Students learnt about the various course options available, entry criteria and university life including social societies at the campus.

Sessions were organised, which included a performance by 2Engage about how to choose options in school and a media workshop that enabled students to record a voiceover and sound effects for a movie scene.

Finally students enjoyed a tour of the Media City campus including the CBeebies and BBC news studios.
