New Senior Prefects

Congratulations to our new prefect team

We’re proud to announce our new Salford City Academy Head Prefects:

Head Boy - Jacob O’Donnell

Head Girl - Alana Birch

Deputy Head Boy - Morgan Burtwistle-Smith

Deputy Head Girl - Grace Green

Heads of Year 10 Mrs Halsall and Mrs Rodgers welcomed our new team of Senior Prefects for training yesterday in preparation for taking over from our Year 11 prefects as they face exams next term.

The full team of 50 students was selected by interview and staff were also asked for recommendations for Head Boy and Head Girl.

Mrs Halsall said:

“Our prefects have been selected as exceptional individuals who we, as a school community, can rely on every single day.”

All prefects will lead on School Council, meet external visitors, speak in assemblies and will generally set the tone for how the academy would like our students to dress, act and behave.

Mrs Rodgers said:

“We’re so proud and impressed with the students coming forward to not only help the school but also themselves in the future by taking on a role with responsibility.”
