This special programme is made for students who show strong skills in STEM – that’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics – and want to learn even more.

What will my child do on the programme?

Students follow a faster-paced and more focused curriculum in Maths, Science and Technology, while still learning everything in the full national curriculum. They’ll also:

Join in STEM events, trips and talks
Take part in a weekly after-school enrichment session
Work on exciting real-world projects

Let’s take a closer look at what each year includes:

Year 7 – STEM On Track

In Year 7, students get hands-on with "STEM On Track" – an exciting national competition where they design, build, and race their very own go-karts!

Each week, they’ll build their kart step-by-step while learning engineering, teamwork, and design skills. The year ends with a thrilling final race: The STEM Prix!

Year 8 – Future Scientists and Leaders

In Year 8, students explore a range of science-based projects:

STEM Leadership Programme – builds confidence and teamwork
Environmental Science Project – encourages students to care for the planet
Medical Science Unit – introduces students to careers in medicine, from doctors to lab researchers

How do we join?

If your child is starting Year 7 in September 2026, you’ll be invited to register your interest in the Spring term of 2026.
