Melanie Haselden - Executive Principal

Since becoming Principal of Salford City Academy in 2017, I’ve remained passionate about teaching Science and committed to student success. I’m proud that our students now achieve some of the highest GCSE results in the area, placing us among the top two schools in Salford for progress.

Now as Executive Principal (North), I work closely with our Associate Principal to ensure every student receives an outstanding education. I also support other schools across the North, helping them grow and succeed. My vision is for Salford City Academy to be a true centre of excellence where every young person is inspired to achieve their best.

Katie Eaton - Associate Principal

I have dedicated most of my 17-year teaching career to Salford City Academy, my commitment to our students and their success has always been at the heart of everything I do.  

As Associate Principal, I lead the day-to-day operations at the Academy. I’m passionate about delivering quality education while fostering a warm and inclusive environment. I continue to teach GCSE Citizenship, a subject I care deeply about. I also lead the development of our SCA Community Hub, to help strengthen our connections with the wider community.   

My goal is to ensure every student here feels valued, challenged, and supported to reach their full potential.
