Helen Turner is our new Connexions Advisor.  Helen will be based in a meeting room on the Technology corridor and can be contacted on:

Connexions helps young people by providing impartial information, advice, guidance and support on any issues of concern. Whether they have questions or worries about careers, education or learning, finding a job, money, housing, health matters or legal rights, Connexions can help!

Our personal Connexions advisor, Helen Turner, is working in Salford City Academy for 2.5 days each week and can help by:

  • Discussing option choices in Year 9 and Option choices after Year 11,
  • Year 12 and 13 interviews/advice,
  • To apply for College courses,
  • To apply for jobs, apprenticeships and training,
  • Job hunting, CV’s, application forms and interview preparation, and
  • Talking through more personal things, such as, health, home life or relationships which may be affecting you.

Connexions advisors are impartial and offer a confidential service to all students.

Please contact Miss Barlow, Head of Careers, during mentor group, break or lunch time, who will arrange an appointment for you with the Connexions advisor.
