Going the Extra Mile: Year 11 Student Raises Hundreds for Muscular Dystrophy UK

With over £700 already raised, one of our Year 11 students is making a powerful difference through an incredible fundraising challenge.

One of our Year 11 students, Harris, is preparing to take on an incredible challenge as he abseils down the Trafford Palazzo Tower in support of Muscular Dystrophy UK. He has chosen to support this charity as it is a condition that affects one of his close friends.

So far, Harris has raised over £700, with time still to go before the event takes place. The money raised will contribute towards vital research into effective treatments, as well as provide life-changing support for thousands of people across the UK living with muscular dystrophy.

Those wishing to support Harris and contribute to this important cause can do so via his fundraising pageclick here.

Harris’ efforts have not gone unnoticed. In recognition of his bravery and selfless commitment to helping others, he has been awarded the UL Salford Cluster Character Caught award - a testament to his outstanding character and dedication.

We are extremely proud of Harris and all he has achieved so far, and we wish him the very best for his upcoming challenge.
