Salford City Academy marked Remembrance with heartfelt tributes, including a visit to the local cenotaph and a school-wide moment of silence.
To commemorate Remembrance, students from Salford City Academy proudly represented the school at a local cenotaph on Friday 7th November. Their respectful conduct and thoughtful presence were a credit to the academy, and we are incredibly proud of the way they honoured this important occasion.
On Tuesday 11th November, the entire school community came together for a poignant moment of reflection. At 11am, students and staff observed a one-minute silence to remember and honour those who lost their lives in conflict. The silence was introduced by the sound of The Last Post, played across the school tannoy system by our talented music teacher, Mrs Parkinson.
These acts of remembrance served as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by so many, and demonstrated the compassion and maturity of our students. We are grateful to everyone who took part and helped make this tribute so meaningful.
