One of our students, Ocean, is putting her football skills to good use by completing 100 kick-ups every day to raise money for the Bobby Moore Fund. With nearly £100 raised so far, she's helping support the fight against bowel cancer and raising awareness of a disease that affects thousands of people across the UK every year.
A huge well done to our student, Ocean, who is currently taking on an impressive Keepy-Uppy Challenge in support of the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK.
Ocean has committed to completing 100 kick-ups every day as part of her fundraising challenge, showing incredible dedication while helping to support an important cause. Thanks to the generosity of friends, family and supporters, she has already raised nearly £100.
The challenge is raising money for the Bobby Moore Fund, which supports pioneering bowel cancer research and helps increase public awareness of the disease. Bowel cancer remains a major health issue in the UK and is the second biggest cause of cancer deaths, with 46 people losing their lives to the disease every day.
Thanks to the work funded by organisations such as the Bobby Moore Fund, significant progress has been made. The fund has contributed to a reduction of more than 30% in bowel cancer mortality rates, helping to save lives through research, earlier diagnosis and improved treatments.
We are incredibly proud of Ocean for using her passion for football to make a difference and support such a worthwhile cause. Her commitment is a great example of how small daily actions can have a big impact.
