SCA Family Festival brought the community together for a fantastic day!
On Saturday 16th May, Salford City Academy proudly hosted our much-loved annual SCA Family Festival - and while the weather may have been a little damp, it certainly didn’t dampen the spirits!
Across the site, we had exciting fairground rides from North West Funfairs, a fantastic variety of stalls, and a tempting range of food vendors serving up festival favourites. Whether it was thrill-seeking, shopping or simply enjoying great food, there was plenty to explore.
On the stage we had DJ Barry Barrington with Children's Disco and characters, we also had performances from Miss Brindley, Mr Mclellan and Mr Nicholls, as well as 'Broasis' our Year 9 band! They all did brilliantly.
The festival was also a fantastic opportunity to connect with the wider community. A number of local organisations joined us on the day, offering advice, support and valuable information to families, helping to strengthen the links between school and community.
Free activities ensured there was fun for all, with highlights including a 50ft climbing wall from Salford Youth Service, sports games, inflatable slides and face painting - all proving hugely popular with children of all ages.
Despite the unpredictable weather, this year’s festival was a fantastic success and a brilliant reflection of our vibrant and resilient school community. A huge thank you goes to our staff, volunteers, partners and everyone who attended and helped make the day so special.
