Cancer Research Race for Life - Pretty Muddy 2022
This June staff members at SCA have signed up to take part in the Pretty Muddy Race for Life at Tatton Park. The event is to raise awareness and funds for Cancer Research UK. Staff will be tackling the challenge on saturday 25th June 2022. Wear it Red Day 21
On the last day of the half term we took part in wea rit red day to show racism the red card. Staff and students took part in a whole school own clothes day where they could wear something red. Donations were collected and we raised £382.18 for the cause. You can find out more about the charity here. Show Racism the Red Card




YoungMinds UK
We raised £884.95 in October for Youngminds by taking part in their #Helloyellow day. Staff and students wore yellow to raise awareness for the charity and the work they do to support young people and their mental health. We also brought back sponge a teacher by popular demand to help with the fundraising.

Tourettes Society
We rasied £374.72 for the Tourettes Society in May through throwing wet sponges at staff!



Comic Relief
This March, We raised £648.40 for Comic Relief, Red Nose Day!
Students and Staff were asked to #WearRed to support the charity day.

Christmas Jumper Day
For Christmas Jumper Day in 2020, we raised £294.64 for Save the Children UK.

FSM Morrisons Support
We were lucky enough to team up with the fabulous Morrisons supermarkets to provide Free School Meal bundles to our students who have been required to isolate as a result of COVID-19.
This is a fantastic initiative and it has been really successful. Thank you to Morrisons!

Children in Need
We support Children in Need every year at the academy, we encourage both students and staff to wear their own clothes and bring in a £1 donation.
In November 2020, we raised over a whopping £600.




YoungMindsUK Hello Yellow
We supported #HelloYellow
day for young people’s mental health in October by asking all staff and students to wear something yellow! #support #mentalhealth

Macmillan Cancer Support
In September we supported Macmillan Cancer Support and raised over £140! Thank you to Mrs Dawson, Mrs Hughes and Mrs Willis for their work on this! #CakeFriday
