Care, Guidance and Support

Salford City Academy has a dedicated Pastoral Team.  They are very aware that during your child's time with us, issues will arise that could impact on their learning.  All the support and intervention that Heads of Year put into place are so your child can learn happily and realise their potential.

Heads of Year

Year 7: Mr Andrew Owen

Year 8/9: Ms Mea La Bella

Year 10: Mr Paul Devonport

Tear 11: Mr Simon Evans

Inclusion Managers

Year 8/9 Inclusion Manager: Mrs Rose Daniels

Year 7/10 Inclusion Manager: Mrs Jenny Greenhalgh

Key Stage 5 Manager: Miss Amy Barlow

Personal Mentors

Salford City Academy has Personal Mentors in each Year Group.  Personal Mentors are led by Heads of Year and are crucial points of contact should your child require extra support with any issue.  Our Personal Mentors develop and build a caring and supportive relationship with mentees.

Academy Planner

The academy planner is the major tool for communication between home and the academy.  That is why we insist that students bring it in every day and why it is checked weekly by Personal Mentors.  Please monitor the progress and homework of your son/daughter by reviewing and signing the planner every week.

"My child and I have a problem!  What should I do?"

You must contact us before the problem interferes with progress and learning.
